In the event that you break or crack a tooth, you should call an emergency dentist. And if a tooth is knocked out you should try to get to a dentist within an hour of the injury. If you can locate the tooth, bring it with you to the dentist. Be careful when handling the tooth, make sure to only pick it up by the crown (the chewing surface). Avoid touching the root, and sanitize the tooth with warm water to remove any dirt. Afterwords it is recommended that you hold the tooth in your mouth or submerged in milk. A dentist may be able to re-implant the tooth.
Loose or Broken Fillings / Crowns
Fillings, crowns, implants, and dental bridges are not designed to last forever. If one gets damaged and falls out, bring it with you to your emergency dentist, as they may be able to use it. Otherwise, your dentist will replace the lost crown, bridge, or other dental elements.
