an isolated shot of a CEREC dental crown

Dental crowns are an important part of our Aspire Family Dentistry to keep your teeth looking and feeling good for life. A dental crown can restore a damaged or broken tooth for years to come.

Caps CEREC crowns, a specific type of coverage that covers the tooth entirely, giving the tooth the same look as the rest of your smile. Crowns are also important when it comes to protecting and strengthening teeth, especially around fillings and different types of restorative dental infrastructure.

When Are Dental Crowns Used?

Here are a few common reasons that we will use a dental crown:

A tooth has been damaged, broken, or severely worn

Support for adjacent teeth with fillings

To secure a dental bridge

Shielding teeth that are severely discolored and/or misshapen

To cover a dental implant

Cosmetic modification

Crowns & Caps CEREC Crowns: How It Works

Properly installing a crown over a damaged tooth is important to the lifespan of the crown, along with the functional and cosmetic benefits it provides.

Dental crowns usually take at least two visits, first to examine and diagnose the situation, and to measure the overall dental health of the surrounding bone and the root of the tooth.

Once those facts are ascertained, a treatment plan is put into place, beginning with the dentist numbing the tooth and guns, then shaping the tooth to be a strong base for dental crowns.

Depending on your specific situation, the dentist will rebuild areas of the tooth where necessary to create a suitable base for the crown. Next, impressions are made of the tooth that will be covered by the crown, and the tooth it will meet when chewing.

I had an unfortunate event (broken tooth) and a co-worker recommended Aspire. I couldn't be happier with the experience I have had - from the wonderful receptionist, amazing hygienist and ultimately Dr. Lee's mannerisms!! Everyone was so helpful, pleasant and understanding. They were able to get me right in and fix my tooth the same day!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a comforting staff that makes you feel safe in these crazy times!

"I was seen promptly and quickly put at ease with the Dr's kind gentle manner. Let's face it.....no one likes having to go to the dentist right? It was a great experience, no pressure and I was given "options" which really made me feel in control......I really appreciated that. With state of the art equipment, a clean professional office and excellent staff (thanks Linda!") I would HIGHLY recommend this office."

I always have the best experience at Aspire Family Dentistry, they all truly care for their patients at the highest level. All of the hygienists are super friendly, and very good at what they do. Dr. Lee always lightens the mood with chit chat and jokes - not to mention he is the best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of being a customer of. Also, I think the addition of the Television and the screen that shows the x-rays of your teeth is awesome! 10/10. Would recommend to everyone!
